What this site is

Automotive Trade Network is an independent trade publication. It publishes general educational material about wholesale vehicle buying, reconditioning, inventory finance and merchandising for people already working in the automotive trade.

What this site is not

We are not a licensed motor vehicle dealer, an auction operator, a wholesaler, a lender, a floor plan provider, a finance broker, an insurance producer or a law firm. We do not buy, sell, consign, transport or appraise vehicles. We do not originate, arrange, broker or refer credit of any kind, and we receive no commission, referral fee or other compensation in connection with any transaction a reader may enter into.

Nothing on this site is financial, credit, legal, tax or accounting advice, and no content here creates a professional relationship between you and us. Before you act on anything you read here, consult your own advisers and read the actual contract, policy sheet or statute that applies to you.

Accuracy and variation

Auction policies, arbitration windows, light systems, dealer licensing requirements, advertising and disclosure rules, and inventory finance terms all vary by state, by auction, by platform and by provider — and they change. We describe common structures and general principles. We do not warrant that any description here matches the terms that apply to you, and we make no representation that content is current, complete or error free.

Photography is licensed from third-party providers and is not licensed onward to you.

Acceptable use
