Automotive Trade Network

Home/About

Who we are

Built for the people who actually move the metal

Independent dealers, wholesalers, small-lot owners and the buyers who work the lanes for them. Not shoppers, not enthusiasts, not software demos.

Why this exists

The trade learns expensively and privately

There is an enormous amount of automotive writing on the internet and almost none of it is aimed at the person buying the car in order to sell it again. Consumer sites explain how to negotiate with you. Vendor content explains why you need their software. The operational knowledge in between — how a light system actually binds, what a curtailment schedule does to your cash, which reconditioning work a buyer will pay for — moves by word of mouth in a lane, or gets learned by losing money.

Automotive Trade Network writes that middle down. Long, specific, caveated, and organised in the order the work happens: buy, recondition, carry, sell.

How we write

Rules we hold ourselves to

  • 01 No invented numbers We do not publish statistics we cannot source. Where a figure depends on your market, your provider or your state, we say so instead of making one up.
  • 02 No manufactured testimonials No invented dealer quotes, no stock-photo success stories, no badges we did not earn.
  • 03 Caveats stay in Auction policy, licensing and credit terms genuinely vary. Guides that pretend otherwise are easier to read and worse to rely on.
  • 04 Nothing gated Every guide is fully readable without an account, an email address or a download.

Scope

What we cover, and what we deliberately do not

The boundary matters more than the coverage. Knowing what a publisher will not touch tells you how to read everything it does.
