Privacy policy
This policy explains what Automotive Trade Network collects when you use automotivetradenetwork.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The site is a publication. We do not sell products, take payments, or operate accounts, so the amount of information involved is small by design.
Who we are
Automotive Trade Network is published by Sentinel Holdings I LLC, 1613 Evans Ave #530, Cheyenne, WY 82001. For any question about this policy, contact [email protected].
Information you give us
The only place this site asks for personal information is the contact form. When you submit it we receive the name, email address, optional business name, message category and message text you typed, together with the date and time of the submission and the IP address the request came from.
We use that information to read and respond to your message and to keep a record of corrections and topic requests. We do not add contact-form submissions to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or trade them.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, the server that hosts automotivetradenetwork.com records standard request information: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the referring page where one is sent, and browser user-agent string. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and does not run third-party advertising or analytics tags that profile you across other websites. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change goes live.
Third parties
Two external services are used to render pages. Google Fonts serves the typefaces used in the site's design, and Unsplash serves the photography. Requesting those files involves your browser contacting those providers, which necessarily discloses your IP address and the page you are viewing to them. We do not send them anything else, and we receive no personal data back from them.
Our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf in order to run the site.
How long we keep things
Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as they are useful for editorial follow-up and record keeping, and then deleted. Server logs are retained on a rolling short-term basis for security and diagnostics.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing [email protected]. Because the only information we hold is what you sent us through the contact form, this is usually a simple request to handle. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights; tell us what you are asking for and we will do our best to honour it.
Children
This is a trade publication written for licensed motor vehicle businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and submissions are stored on the server that runs it. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and the contact form should not be used for confidential, financial or account information. Please do not send us credentials, account numbers or documents relating to a live dispute.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. The version published here is always the current one.
